In a time where our healthcare system is demanding more from practitioners than ever, we need solutions that get practitioners back to what they were trained to do. Electronic health records (EHR) among other healthcare technology and tools can help you save time, increase patient engagement, and reduce administrative burden all while growing your practice.

Fullscript currently gives you access to 20+ integration partners and we’ve just added healthcare’s largest connected network, athenahealth, to this list. Keep reading to learn about the athenahealth EHR and how it can benefit you and your patients.

Integrate athenahealth with Fullscript in 4 easy steps.

What are Electronic health records integrations on Fullscript?

Working from the practice management software you already use, Fullscript integrations help you streamline your workflow so that you can access patient records, medical billing, and other important information in one safe place. Plus, you can seamlessly tailor care to increase patient engagement with simplified access to powerful data and tools. Learn more about taking your practice virtual with Fullscript EHR integrations by clicking here.

athenahealth and Fullscript integration

The athenahealth EHR solution was built to manage both practices and clinics so you can achieve better patient outcomes. It includes tools for medical records, revenue cycle management, patient engagement, and care coordination. It also has a large network of external vendors that bring specialized functionality to its platform — like Fullscript.

Key athenahealth EHR benefits and features

When you integrate Fullscript with athenahealth, it’s estimated that you’ll get four hours of documentation back weekly (based on internal estimates of athenaOne data as of Q1 2018).

You’ll also be able to maximize your clinical efficiency, access cloud-based healthcare products, connect to healthcare’s largest network, and fill care gaps with access to the following features:

  • AthenaClinicals for an easy way to write patient chart notes plus access to lab and prescription ordering.
  • Interoperability tools to help send and receive data-driven insights seamlessly to and from other practitioners and to update revenue cycle management.
  • AthenaNet connects you to a medical practice network of 150,000 providers.
  • AthenaCommunicator is a patient portal that includes tools for patient appointment scheduling and HIPAA-compliant messaging.
  • Embedded telehealth software gives your patients the ability to join appointments without any new software or devices.

“athenahealth offers a very comprehensive platform and patient portal,” said Farshid Sam Rahbar, M.D., founder and medical director of Los Angeles Integrative Gastroenterology & Nutrition. “The integration will ultimately help physicians save time during the ordering process and provide ease when recommending supplements to patients.”

How to use this practice management solution

You’ll need to have a Fullscript and athenahealth account to use this integration. If you already have both set up, you can integrate right away by following these three steps.
