AI-powered clinical decision support — built for easier plan writing
This growing suite of smart, clinical decision support tools surfaces the trusted information and insights you need right in your workflow. No more toggling between tabs and extra tools.
Here’s what Fullscript Assist can do today
Check for drug interactions
Automatically see interactions between medications and supplements in your plan-writing workflow. Fullscript Assist surfaces personalized safety insights at a glance — based on your patient’s self-reported medications — and allows you to conveniently search interactions using the NatMed database.
Check for nutrient depletions
Nutrient deficiencies caused by a patient’s medications can be tough to spot. Fullscript Assist helps you see possible depletions for patients, review the severity, and find suggested ingredients to address the deficiency — without leaving your workflow.
A solution proven by providers
“I’ve been using the interaction checker daily while writing plans in Fullscript. It saves me a ton of time while still maintaining my high standards for safety and efficacy. It even surfaces interactions that aren’t always top of mind. I used to rely on textbooks or external tools, but I love having this guidance built right into my workflow. It streamlines my process and even helps me educate patients more effectively.”

Fullscript Assist FAQs
How does Fullscript Assist use artificial intelligence?
Fullscript Assist leverages AI to analyze structured patient data (such as medication lists and lab results), check it against clinical evidence from NatMed databases and functional lab ranges, and identify relevant clinical insights. These insights are presented in a contextual and non-disruptive way, allowing providers to explore the evidence and apply their clinical judgment. The AI is built to recognize patterns and surface potential care opportunities — not to make decisions on behalf of the provider.
Where does Fullscript Assist source the clinical evidence that supports its insights?
Interaction and depletion insights are backed by NatMed, an industry-recognized database of integrative medical research. Fullscript also applies its Evidence-Based Decision Support (EBDS) framework, which includes internal medical review, a structured evidence grading system, and regular content updates to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance.
Will my patients see the insights generated by Fullscript Assist?
No. Fullscript Assist is a provider tool. The insights, suggestions, and supporting evidence are only visible to providers while creating or editing their plans. Patients will only see the final plan and associated recommendations you choose to include.
How is the drug interaction checker different from other third-party checkers?
Fullscript Assist’s drug interaction checker identifies potential contraindications between a patient’s current medications and supplements – as well as any products added to a plan – within your workflow. Unlike generic tools that require providers to leave their workflow, it dynamically pulls from the patient’s data and highlights relevant safety information without disrupting the plan writing experience.
Can I use the interaction checker even if I don’t have patient-specific data?
Yes. Providers can use the tool for general research or when creating protocols for broader audiences. It allows for quick exploration of common supplement-medication interactions, even when exact patient medications are not known.
How does the depletion checker work?
This tool surfaces potential nutrient deficiencies based on medications in a patient’s “currently taking” list within the plan-writing interface. Providers can also search for depletion risks by medication name during research or protocol development. All depletion insights come from NatMed and include a severity rating and an evidence grade, helping providers to quickly assess clinical significance.
How will Fullscript Assist provide biomarker and condition insights?
This tool – which is coming soon – translates a patient’s blood lab biomarker ranges into possible conditions or care opportunities, grouped by health area. It supports faster and more informed planning by turning complex lab data into potentially relevant suggestions. These insights are considerations, Providers should use them as suggestions alongside clinical context, symptoms, and their expert judgment.
How might I use these insights to research conditions?
Fullscript Assist will also enable providers to search for specific conditions and learn about biomarkers that may help identify those conditions — or search by biomarker to see associated conditions and health areas. Providers may use this tool to research conditions and discover lab tests that can help identify related biomarkers.
What types of labs will the condition checker tool support?
The tool will work with interpreted blood lab results already available within Fullscript. It maps functional reference ranges to possible conditions. The biomarker ranges are developed and maintained by Fullscript’s Medical Advisory Team, drawing from peer-reviewed and trusted medical sources like PubMed, ScienceDirect, the CDC, and the Merck Manual.
