At Fullscript we are constantly looking for ways to improve our platform so you can provide the best care possible to your patients. In response to practitioner requests, we are excited to introduce our newest update to the platform, the ‘Similar Products’ feature. For brands or products that are out of stock, discontinued, or no longer carried on Fullscript, this new feature will conveniently aid you in finding suitable alternatives to avoid interruption to your patient’s wellness plan. Curated by our on-staff doctors, the Similar Products feature (as shown below) will offer suitable alternatives to products in both the Fullscript catalog and the prescription tool. While in the your product catalog, when a product or brand is selected, the ‘Similar Products’ tab (beside the product description tab) will offer suggestions for suitable alternative products.
You can also find all active prescriptions containing a given product in the Related Prescriptions tab of a Fullscript catalog product page.
You may also use the ‘Similar Products’ feature while editing a prescription. Once an item is selected you will notice a “show similar products” option below the container size.
Patients logging in to Fullscript will only see the Similar Products feature if a product on their treatment plan is unavailable and your dispensary catalog settings allow them to see our entire catalog.
If your dispensary catalog settings allow patients to see recommendations only, then your patient will see a notice that the product is no longer available, with a prompt to contact you for an alternative recommendation.
