Dr. Beverly Yates, ND is a Naturopathic physician with over 25 years of clinical experience. She founded and led the first-ever fully accredited Residency program in the state of California for Naturopathic and Integrative medicine. In changing careers from MIT-trained electrical engineer and systems engineer to Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Yates appreciates the importance of keeping health systems in balance. She uses her problem-solving skills to help people with chronic illnesses feel better and have more energy. Her work focuses on heart disease (ex. CHF, A-Fib), diabetes, sleep problems, sleep apnea, stress, hormonal imbalances, gut issues, and food sensitivities. Dr. Yates’ experience as an African American woman who is a doctor, and has engineering skills, gives her a unique perspective on healthcare, equity, access and policy impacts on the lives of people who have chronic illnesses.
