Beta (1,3/1,6) D-Glucan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide compound. This complex carbohydrate found in yeast provides nutritional support to maintain a healthy immune system.* Of the four main sources of beta (1,3/1,6) d-glucan yeast has had the most precise research conducted on it, starting in the 1940's with Dr. Linus Pauling.*

Specific cell receptor sites and their interaction with yeast derived beta (1,3/1,6) d-glucan have been pinpointed. Yeast derived Beta-1 is the only confirmed source to bind with Dectin-1 receptors on macrophages.*
