TUDCA (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid)is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, acting as a chemical chaperone to support healthy endoplasmic reticulum function.* TUDCA replicates bile acids, which are naturally produced in the liver and stored in the gall bladder.* The gut microbiome can conjugate these bile acids into TUDCA.* The human body makes a small amount, but the bears make copious amounts of it, and that is partly why they can hibernate so long without damage to their health.*

TUDCA is synthetically produced by conjugating ursodeoxycholic acid with taurine. Nicotinamide riboside, a precursor to NAD+(nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), supports a natural pathway to NAD+.
