Milk Thistle Formulation

The herbs and nutrients in Milk Thistle support both Phase I and Phase II enzymes of detoxification. Silymarin protects the liver cells from toxins and free radicals generated by phase‑I detoxification. Silymarin acts as an antioxidant and stabilizes cell membranes. Secondly, silymarin, curcumin, and alpha‑lipoic acid upregulate conjugation reactions, facilitating the safe elimination of toxins. Finally, in addition to hepatoprotective and cholagogue effects, herbs such as Milk Thistle, Taraxacum, Beet Root, and Oriental Radish have mild laxative effects. This promotes bowel regularity to ensure efficient bowel elimination of the toxins and metabolites. The formula also contains Schisandra which in addition to hepatoprotection, is also an adaptogen. Milk Thistle Formulation can be used alongside treatments of dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, non-alcholic fatty liver disease, or for general hepatoprotection.

Suggested Use:
Adults: Take 1 capsule three times daily with food or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

Duration of use: Use for a minimum of 3 weeks to see beneficial effects.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:  
Vegetable magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide in a non‑GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.
