What Are Senescent Cells?

As we age, some cells stop functioning normally without being eliminated by the body. These cells, often referred to as senescent cells or “zombie cells,” are now a major focus of healthy aging research.

Over time, their accumulation may contribute to chronic inflammatory signaling and cellular stress.

Polyphenols such as fisetin, quercetin, and EGCG are currently being studied for their potential role in interacting with these senescent cells.

How Does Our Fisetin+ Work?

Three polyphenols studied in cellular senescence research

Fisetin, quercetin, and green tea extract (EGCG) are among the most studied plant compounds in the scientific literature on senolytic agents, molecules currently being investigated for their interaction with senescent cells. Fisetin in particular is among the most documented natural flavonoids in preclinical research related to markers associated with cellular senescence. This growing body of research inspired the formulation of Fisetin+.

Encouraging exploratory findings

As part of internal exploratory work led by Samuel Fortin, PhD, the combination of fisetin, quercetin, and EGCG demonstrated encouraging preliminary findings related to markers associated with cellular senescence and oxidative stress.

These preliminary observations add to the growing scientific literature surrounding these polyphenols, although they do not constitute proof of clinical efficacy in humans.

Daily antioxidant defense

Beyond their role in senescence-related research, these polyphenols are also recognized antioxidants.

Every day, cells are exposed to free radicals generated by metabolism, UV exposure, pollution, and stress. When these accumulate, they may contribute to oxidative cellular damage.

The polyphenols found in Fisetin+ help protect cells against oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Suggested Use / Directions:
Adults 18 years and older: Take 1 capsule, 2 times per day with a meal. Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place.

Quercetin (Sophora japonica – bud) ... 500 mg
Green Tea Extract (Camellia sinensis – leaf) (EGCG 95%) ... 50 mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
Vegetable capsule (hypromellose), oryza sativa (rice).
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you:
•have a liver disorder or an iron deficiency
•are taking opioid or anti-inflammatory medications, nitroglycerine, or lithium
•have hypotension, a history of cardiovascular disease, rheumatologic or autoimmune disease, or a blood clotting disorder.

Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
