In the body, with the help of the coenzyme riboflavin, DMG supplies methyl groups that attach to folate to form methylene tetrahydrofolate, an important component of many biochemical processes in the body, including cellular perception and response. It is also involved in maintaining healthy homocysteine levels.^®
