Bio-Cardio include L-carnitine, which has been shown to improve appetite and exercise tolerance in dogs; vitamin E, which provides essential antioxidant activity in all tissues including the heart; and magnesium and potassium, which are necessary for healthy cardiac contractility and for maintaining a healthy heart rhythm. Three botanical ingredients – Crataegus laevigata (hawthorn extract) and Terminalia arjuna (arjuna extract), which contribute to healthy heart muscle function, and Eleutherococcus senticosus (eleuthero root extract), an adaptogen that supports physical stamina – are also included in the Bio-Cardio formula.
