Adaptogen is a USDA Organic Certified formula for daily adrenal support, used when challenged by a stressful and hectic modern lifestyle. Chronic stress triggers an excessive release of cortisol leading to an imbalanced DHEA-to-cortisol ratio, as well as a defective adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) response. It is sourced from India, where it is traditionally used for exhaustion, emaciation, memory loss, muscle weakness, overwork, and sleeplessness. Research shows ashwagandha helps with increased energy, reduced fatigue, improved sleep, and enhanced sense of wellbeing. Research on standardized extracts of Ashwagandha indicates the ability to attenuate the negative effects of stress. For example, it can balance levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 64 subjects with a history of chronic stress took 300 mg of a standardized extract of Ashwagandha twice daily for 60 days. Research assessment methods included cortisol testing, and other stress measurements. As compared to placebo, there were significant improvements in all test scales.

Many of organic eleuthero's benefits are credited to eleutherosides, which have anti-fatigue and adrenal balancing effects. In addition, Eleuthero contains immune polysaccharides which are shown to provide significant immune balancing activities.

Organic astragalus is a traditional adaptogenic herb used as an energy and vitality refresher, with a great deal of modern research demonstrating numerous immune modulating mechanisms, especially post-exercise. It is thought to help balance immune/inflammatory cells, as well as support stamina through its effects on muscle cells and cell mitochondria.

Organic holy basil has been studied for its effects on stress adaptation and resilience. It helps the body adapt to occasional physical and emotional stress. It can promote a sense of calm and well-being.
