What’s New
Two new features are now live to improve lab workflows:
- Lab alerts: Providers and patients will now receive real-time notifications in Fullscript when shipping or result delays—reported by the lab company—affect a test. This reduces the need to contact support and helps keep care plans on track.
- Lab notification settings: Store owners and practitioners with a Fullscript account can now assign a team member—like a clerk or assistant—to receive lab result notifications on their behalf. This ensures results go to the right person and helps clinics follow up with patients faster.

Here’s How it Works
- Lab alerts appear automatically in key screens—like patient profiles, labs dashboards, and product display pages—when a delay or disruption is reported from the lab company. If there’s a known shipping or result delay after an order is placed, providers and patients can see status updates in the order history page.
- Lab notification settings can be managed by store owners and practitioners in the ‘Preferences’ section of their ‘Account settings’. You can designate any user on your account (e.g., a clerk) to receive result notifications both on the Fullscript homepage and via email.
What this means for your practice
- Fewer delays, better care: With alerts built into Fullscript, you’re proactively notified when labs don’t go as planned—so you can adjust appointments or recommend alternatives without waiting for patient complaints or chasing lab support.
- Smoother workflows for your team: Centralized result notifications reduce inbox chaos or the need to hop between accounts. Assigning lab results to the team member who owns follow-up saves providers time and reduces the risk of missed results.
- Improved patient communication: By receiving the right information at the right time, your clinic can maintain momentum on care plans—even when delays occur.
