Beef Gelatin easily and completely dissolves in hot liquids, like tea or broth, but solidifies once mixed into cold liquids, making it a great thickening agent in recipes, such as stews and custards. Because of its gelling, gelatin is commonly used in culinary applications, such as gummies, candies, sauce thickeners, etc. 

What is gelatin?

Gelatin is a form of hydrolyzed collagen that is extracted from collagen-rich raw materials by pulling the triple-helix apart into individual strands. Gelatin will dissolve in warm water and gel when cooled down  (FYI, this is the same gelatin you get in your bone broth prepared at home).

What is the difference between Collagen Peptides and Beef Gelatin? 

When compared to gelatin, collagen peptides are further hydrolyzed into smaller molecules and are highly digestible and bioavailable. Due to this enzymatic hydrolysis, Collagen Peptides easily dissolves in hot and cold liquids, while Beef Gelatin dissolves in hot liquids and gels in cold liquids.

Slowly combine 1-2 scoops with 4 fl oz of cold liquid, mix thoroughly, let stand for 1 minute, then add 6 fl oz of hot liquid and mix thoroughly.
