Malabsorption, Iron & Chronic Nutrient Deficiency

Total Protocol Duration: 12 weeks

Ortho Iron or Ortho Iron Vegan (lactoferrin free)

1 capsule, 2 times daily with food, week 1 to 4.

Description: An absorbable, well-tolerated, patented form of iron with key cofactors in the Fe pyrophosphate form.

Pro GI Repair

1 scoop, 2 times daily before food, week 1-8. Mix in water (can be mixed with fresh lemon juice).

Description: An anti-inflammatory that promotes the healing of GI lining.

Pro Andrographis

2 capsules, 2 times per day on an empty stomach for 2 weeks, week 2 to 6.

Description: The “king of bitters.” Anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, parasitic and viral. Reduces dysentery and intestinal biofilms. Increases brush border enzyme secretion. 

Ortho Core

2 capsules, 2 times daily with food, week 1-12. 

Description: High potency multivitamin in active forms. Also contains a potent antioxidant combination for comprehensive daily protection.

 

The following may be considered according to requirements for additional support:

  • In cases of treatment resistant and chronic anemia, consider H. pylori, parasite infection, or dysbiosis.
  • Assess for pernicious anemia, hypochlorhydria, gastric erosion and/or hyperpermeability in refractive cases to determine the duration of treatment. Note: in severe cases, repair may take up to 6 months.
  • Consider additional Advanced B Complex and Methylcobalamin to replenish deficiencies common with malabsorption and improve RBC production.
